i really, really, really love this anime. it's so cute and the stories and character growths are really, very heartwarming. my favorite characters are definitely all might and izuku midoriya. i don't really even know what else to say about it all. i finally finished the very last episode after waiting a few months and read the final chapter of the manga to clear some things up, and it was really wholesome. i feel like i've grown with the characters over the years, and it's sad to see it come to an end. the world that horikoshi has built is truly one of a kind.

honestly, it's not awful. it's just not really my favorite right now. i think i'm going to give up on it. i might come back some day, but it's probably unlikely. i really like the dub voice actors, and the story is cute, but it's kinda whatever and not my kind of anime.

boyfriend on demand

rating: ★★★☆☆

okay... i'm somewhere between a 3 and a 4 stars range for this one. honestly, i had a lot of mixed feelings for the whole 'boyfriend on demand' concept and this being a sort of a virtual reality thing. on one hand it was a cool concept, on the other hand, i wish it could have stood closer to the storylines occurring outside of the game. even with kyeong nam, the progression felt a bit confusing and really slow up until like episode 8 when it randomly started moving really fast. it did have a good closure, so i do give it that, but i still think this could have been executed just slightly better.

like, i can't even lie. ai yazawa is a genius. my favorite manga author to date. her ability to create such a beautiful story, such strong relationships, such intense and deep feelings and messages. her artsyle. the characters she creates. the world she imagines. i was so confused around 25% way through, but as things started clearing up, it was so beautiful. i was skeptical of the four children and their involvement in the story, and i wished, at some parts, that the storytelling would go back to mizuki or adam, but i am really glad it didn't. it was so refreshing and such an interesting perspective to bring to the story. if manga is not your jam, i recommend you try reading this one. it's only 16 chapters, so you could get through it in a couple of hours. just wow.

what an interesting range of songs, especially after a few hits. i could certainly tell where ryan ross drew some of his inspiration from. some of the tracks on this collection had some really fun bells and whistles; it was really whimsical and exciting while still balancing a deep melancholic intimacy. treating this collection as an independent production, i am intrigued by the story its telling. now, taking it for what it is, it shapes up to be a really fantastic and profound soundtrack for a movie.

i'm listening to this with an objective. i found an article that gave ryan ross's top five albums at the time that he was touring for a fever you can't sweat out. not only did he list these (more to come, don't you worry) albums as his top five, but he said that he drew great inspiration from all of these in the creation of his own album. i'm curious. good album, first listen was average, but i'm needing more. feels more of its time than anything.

another piece of inspiring lawyer content. i watched this with my mom and she kept asking me if this is the kind of lawyer i am going to be. i hope so, but also, damn i don't want to be involved in the mafia. it felt more inspiring than erin brokovich and i would honestly watch it again.

this was my first k-drama and i was so pleasantly surprised. i had not given k-dramas a chance before, and not for any good reason, but this was a really good introduction into the genre and i'm honestly really excited about all of the k-dramas i have yet to experience. i really liked their romance, but i honestly felt really bad for hiro. i'm glad they gave him the storyline they did, though, because it would be too unfortunate for a handsome guy to get everything he wants by virtue of being handsome.

this anime did a lot for me, in that it actually helped me get back into anime in a way that i was honestly surprised by. it was from the same creators of deathnote, which i actually did not know and did not find out until much later. i liked the progression, and i was honestly really impressed by it, but i was a bit let down by the ending. it felt almost like an attack on titan ending where i was like... really? all of that for this? but alas. still really great.
